7. Cookies and Universal Opt-Out Mechanisms
We use only strictly necessary, first party cookies and similar technologies, limited to session cookies used to authenticate members and administrators and to maintain the state of forms and displays. We do not use third party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If you are a Texas consumer, the TDPSA gives you the right, subject to authentication of your identity and to applicable exceptions, to: (a) confirm whether we are processing your personal data and obtain access to that data; (b) correct inaccuracies in your personal data; (c) request the deletion of personal data provided by you or obtained about you; (d) obtain a copy of the personal data you previously provided to us in a portable and, to the extent technically feasible, readily usable format that allows you to transmit the data to another controller without hindrance; and (e) opt out of the processing of your personal data for purposes of any sale of personal data, targeted advertising, or profiling in furtherance of a decision that produces a legal or similarly significant effect concerning you, it being noted that we do not engage in any sale of personal data, targeted advertising, or such profiling, so there is no such processing to opt out of at this time. Requests may be submitted by electronic mail to admin@texaspoliticaljobs.com or by mail to the address set forth in Section 13. We will authenticate requests using account credentials or other information reasonably available to us, respond within forty-five (45) days of receipt, and may extend that period once by an additional forty-five (45) days where reasonably necessary, in which case we will inform you of the extension and the reason for it. We do not charge a fee for up to two requests in a twelve month period; we may charge a reasonable fee, or decline to act, in the case of requests that are manifestly unfounded, excessive, or repetitive. If we decline to take action on a request, we will inform you of the justification and of your right to appeal. You may appeal by electronic mail to admin@texaspoliticaljobs.com with the words "Privacy Request Appeal" in the subject line; we will inform you in writing of any action taken or not taken in response to the appeal within sixty (60) days, together with a written explanation of the reasons for the decision and information on how to contact the Texas Attorney General to submit a complaint.
